CTS-Mexico catalyzes processes that improve our cities.
In our role as an adviser and facilitator, the Center helps cities to adapt and adopt the best practices and models for sustainable transport, the nvironment and urban development. CTS-Mexico engages the world’s most distinguished urban experts in our work with Mexican cities.
CTS-Mexico has signed Memorandums of Understanding with Mexico City, León and the State of Jalisco, in order to create strategic associations that lay the foundation for undertaking new urban mobility projects. We are also exploring greater cooperation with the Municipality of Benito Juarez (Cancún), the states of Chiapas, Chihuahua and Mexico, and the city of Monterrey.
CTS-Mexico has provided steadfast support for the construction of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Systems because, in many cases, they are an essential component of mass transit networks, providing good spatial coverage and ofering users better service quality. However, improving transport sustainability necessitates a comprehensive approach that incorporates actions favoring better air quality, reduced climate impact and improved urban development.
